Picapau Coffee Roastery is a specialty coffee roaster based in Rome. Owner and head roaster Emanuele Bernabei had his first taste of specialty coffee in Brazil while working there as an IT professional. Along with his knowledge and passion for coffee, Emanuele brought back to his home city an inspiration to roast and chose the name Picapau, the Portuguese word for woodpecker.

Establishing Picapau Coffee Roastery in 2019, Emanuele took home second place in the Italian Coffee Roasting Championship in 2020.
